AW22 - MODERN SILHOUETTES
“The inspiration for “Modern Silhouettes” came to me in Milan during a visit to Fondazione Prada seeing their Domenico Gnoli exhibition. The clarity and simplicity of his painting stuck a deep cord in me – resonating with a wish to create a collection that focuses on texture and shape that is still sensuous.”
For Modern Silhouettes Hofmann Copenhagen introduces styles that are body hugging, sleek dresses and tops. Shapes are held simple with focus on bringing the beauty and quality of the fabrics to the fullest. As always great attention has been spent in selecting and designing the fabrics. Each fabric tells its own story. They are very structured with lots of depth and detailing. The choice of the Jolies Franges fabric is a direct reference to Gnoli’s painting of patterned bed linen. The collection also evolves around embroidery in many different ways and colours.

The Hofmann Copenhagen woman knows what works for her but still want to try new shapes and ideas each season while holding on to her treasures from last season. Clothes need to be well made and long lasting. Sustainability is not only about recycling materials but also loving the things we already own. Hofmann Copenhagen’s current styles are designed to be tomorrow and next year’s favourites.
“I love to work and experiment with fabrics and techniques - developing and pushing the workmanship when creating a collection. Most of all the clothes need to feel considered and worked through with all the little details that make Hofmann Copenhagen.”
Colours are held in darker shades with red as the dominant AW22 colour. The red colour is represented in different shades form light pink to a string fuchsia. Combined with a warm bronze colour and a splash of yellow to create contrast and life.
Modern Silhouettes is for strong women of all ages who are not afraid to stand out. In its use of shapes and colours the collection references a rich history of art and fashion but updated for natural and modern women of 2022. We want to keep close to our customers and to remain a personal and accessible partner worldwide.
