'AW21 Generations'

The Hofmann Copenhagen AW21 collection “Generations” finds its inspiration in personal memories and individual style. It’s a celebration of elegance and female empowerment. "Not being able to travel has made me dive into my own history including my own family archive. Usually I am seeking inspiration in flea markets, galleries, and museums around the world but this season I have found all my inspiration within my own home.”- Heidi Hofmann

We continue our dedication to the unique. Our heavy lace has been sketched by hand and all edges of the fabrics have been hand cut to follow the pattern of the flowers. The standout print of the “Generations” AW21 collection is “Patchwork- Petit Morceaux”. It has been created to celebrate our love of combining prints, bringing this season and previous season favourites together. This season we have drawn inspiration from various eras from the elegance of 1950s belted coats to the glamorous ruffles of the 1980s. As always Hofmann Copenhagen puts emphasis on ease of wear and the beauty of the female silhouette. The collection “Generations“ features longer length dresses as well as those great tops to wear with everything. We design clothes to be comfortable in.

Inspiration

"The women in my family have always loved to dress up. I have grown up watching my grandmother getting her hair done, wearing brightly coloured printed dresses and chequered coats. My mother has always had a penchant for big, dramatic sleeves and extravagant fabrics. Both women being very creative sewed and knitted throughout my childhood. When I was a little girl I was dressed up in printed dresses with puff sleeves. I also made my own clothes for dolls from an early age. Created from scrap fabrics and yarns, it is such a joy to see my own little girl starting to use the clothes again for her dolls. All these bygone, wonderful fabrics and prints have inspired the AW21 collection ‘Generations”- Heidi Hofmann

When creating a collection it is really about finding out what women want to wear today. I am passionate about creating clothes that women want to wear season after season. For me it is all about creating timeless fashion in great materials. This is what sustainability is to me.- Heidi Hofmann

With this collection Hofmann Copenhagen continues its journey towards a more sustainable and responsible future. We have introduced our own embroidered eco cotton. All prints have been made in eco vero - fabrics derived from certified wood sources. We have used up-cycled fabrics from material already produced by other brands. This season we also introduce outerwear in natural, European fabrics. Coats are made from Harris Tweed, hand-woven and dyed in Scotland. The collection “Generations“ features longer length dresses as well as those great tops to wear with everything. We design clothes to be comfortable in.
