Hofmann Copenhagen Preview SS22 collection New Frontiers is a tribute to the freedom of expression and movement.
We want to explore new frontiers both in the world and in our minds.
Perhaps more than ever before this collection evolves around the specially sourced fabrics that are central to the Hofmann Copenhagen brand. While keeping the lines of the different styles clean we have explored traditional gingham patterns and denim further adding to them with embroidery and pipings. The standout print of the collection is a new “patchwork print” that combines some of the favourite vintage prints from our archive all toned in new colours.
The hues of the collection are warm and dusty to match the Western theme of the collection. This contrasted with fresh and modern blues and lilac that reference some of the colours used by Judd. The core silhouettes are minimalistic but with added femininity and personality. Hofmann Copenhagen puts emphasis on ease of wear and the beauty of the female shape. The collection features both longer length dresses and the shorter dresses for that day you want to stand out. As always we have our great tops that can combined with anything. At Hofmann Copenhagen we design clothes to be yourself in.
For this particular collection I wanted to visit a place I have never been but always wanted to go: Marfa, Texas. Images of the great expanse of desert paired with the Minimalist art of Donald Judd have left a powerful impression on me. My inspiration has been elements of Western style that meet contemporary fashion and art.
When creating a collection it is really about finding out what women want to wear today. I am passionate about creating clothes that women want to wear season after season. For me it is all about creating timeless fashion in great materials. All prints have been made in eco vero - fabrics derived from certified wood sources. We have used up-cycled fabrics from material already produced by other brands. Our most dressed up styles are all made in recycled fabric.
